Who left Chicago Med in Season 8?
In the Season 8 premiere episode, two of the series’ docs departed. First, Guy Lockard, who plays Dr. Dylan Scott, the pediatrician in the ED, exited the series. Dr. Scott decided he couldn’t face being in Chicago any longer following the death of the woman that he loved, undercover cop Milena/Jo (Riley Voelkel). “What was sort of the cornerstone of his character was a doctor who had been a cop, and couldn’t escape his past — it becomes very evident in the premiere episode,” showrunner Andrew Schneider told Variety. So having really resolved that, we felt we had really covered his story arc, but Guy is so good and was such a wonderful character that we would welcome bringing him back in the future.” Sarah Rafferty also exited her role as Dr. Pamela Blake who is heading off to receive PT following the stroke she had during surgery that made her hands unfit for surgery. “Dr. Marcel will hear about her,” showrunner Diane Frolov told Variety. “There will be references to her. We won’t see her, but we will be dealing with the emotional aftermath from his point of view.” And Schneider added, “If the character’s alive, the character can and very often will come back.”
Who Is Returning to Chicago Med in Season 8?
Yaya DaCosta, who played April, left at the end of Season 6 when she entered a nurse practitioner program. Now she’s back on a recurring basis to wrap up the April/Ethan storyline which was unresolved at the time of her departure. “We were talking about what we want it to do story-wise, particularly with Ethan and resolving that relationship. We never really got to finish it. We really wanted to, so we reached out to see if she would come back for this,” Frolov told Variety. “They’re not sure where the other one stand, so they’re gonna tread softly on that.”
Is there a trailer for Chicago Med Season 8?
You bet! Here’s the first look at what we can expect in season 8.
What happened at the end of Chicago Med season 7?
The season 7 Chicago Med finale was jam packed with relationship issues and the possibility that two of its doctors will die in a fire, when Dr. Scott and Dr. Halstead are caught in a fire in the apartment building that Halstead purchased with the money he received as a whistle blower bringing down VasCom. Then, there is the possibility that Dr. Blake will never be able to operate again and she’s blaming Dr. Marcel. Blake needed to have an operation to correct the increasing numbness in her hands, but when there was a problem with the surgery, Dr. Archer asked Marcel which of two choices to make, and Marcel opted for the safer option. Blake survived the surgery, but she may have suffered a stroke, making her hands unfit for surgery. To make matters even worse, Blake’s daughter learns that she gave Marcel power of attorney, and is furious and hurt with the two of them. On a happier note, Sharon Goodwin’s pregnant daughter gave birth with her mother’s assistance when they were trapped in a sky-high restaurant when the elevator went out. Related, Chicago Is Blazing! Will the truce between Dr. Archer and Dr. Choi last? While it’s true that Dr. Choi told Archer he no longer wanted to be in charge, will he have second thoughts? And speaking of Dr. Archer, will he actually be able to keep an open mind when it comes to Dr. Hannah Asher’s competence as a physician knowing what he does about her drug addiction in the past? How will Dr. Charles deal with his decision to end his relationship with his former-therapist-turned-girlfriend? Will Dr. Scott and undercover cop Milena Jovanovic (Riley Voelkel) become an item?
