Sejanus Plinth is a mentor for District 2 and another close friend of Snow’s. She gains attention for her strong and beautiful singing voice, which she uses as an act of defiance. Zegler debuted as an actress in last year’s West Side Story playing Maria, a performance that scored her a Golden Globe. Zegler and fellow The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes cast member Rivera are currently dating in real life, and this will be their second time acting together on screen. The president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, Nathan Kahane, said in a statement (via Deadline), “When you read Suzanne’s [Collins] book, Lucy Gray’s emotional intelligence, physical agility, and fiercely powerful, determined singing voice shine through. Rachel embodies all of those skills – she is the perfect choice for our Lucy Gray."  The new movie is expected in theaters on Nov. 17, 2023. So far, the only footage the studio released is a short teaser of the title and logo. Next, Everything We Know So Far About the Hunger Games Prequel
