Now, Cook is embracing the 27-year age gap and using it for laughs in his new comedy special, Dane Cook: Above It All. The comedian and actor spoke to E! News about the age difference between himself and Taylor ahead of the special’s release, saying, “We have a bit of an age difference, so it’s in the show, it’s in the show. If we can’t laugh at it, then nobody else is allowed.” In fact, Taylor is quite involved with Cook’s comedy, as he always tests out new jokes on her. Cook told the publication, “She saw everything that I was working on for the show. And she was like, ‘Keep that in. I think that part will be great.’ There’s even some fun at our own expense.” As Cook and Taylor are currently planning their wedding, they’re anticipating married life together, and Cook is considering what sort of jokes he might tell after their big day. He told E! News, “I was just trying some material out on her the other day where I was like, ‘Hey, I think I have maybe my first what it’s like to be married joke.’ So, she got the exclusive. We tried it out and she said, ‘I approve of that. That’s a good one.’” The couple started dating back in 2017, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. A source told Us Weekly in 2019 that Cook “treats her as though she’s his wife even though he’s said he’ll never get married…This is definitely the most serious relationship he’s had so far.” Clearly, that source was wrong, as Cook and Taylor are walking down the aisle soon. They got engaged this summer after five years together, though no wedding date has been announced just yet. More News:
